My new Weirdo Neighbors continue to provide an ample supply of entertainment. Their horse dog, Maverick, broke out of the patio this weekend while another neighbor was walking by with her little French Bulldog and pounced at them. I’m pretty sure that Maverick only wanted to play, as he seems like a gentle giant type of dog. But his size can be quite intimidating, and add the shock of not being aware that a horse dog that size even LIVED nearby or what type of temperament the dog had. French Bulldog lady called Animal Control. She was HOT.

Animal Control came and a female answered the door. That’s the first time I’d ever seen her. Not sure where she came from, but the dog is apparently HERS. She was such a complete and unruley BITCH to the Animal Control guy that he almost called the police. So I’m just guessing, but this must be Rude Dude’s girlfriend. I’m not quite sure WHAT to call her. . . until I know her real name of course.

The weather was pretty crappy the whole weekend. It had been 85 degrees on Thursday and I was thinking “Beach Weekend”. But that’s what I get for thinking. Nope, it was raining and/or dreary overcast until late yesterday afternoon. So I spent the weekend working on Adam and Shelley’s Wedding Scrapbook.

I bought Scrapbooking stuff several years ago thinking that I would chronical the boys’ lives with adorable embellishments and crafty storytelling art. After I started trying to put all the boxes of pictures in some sort of chronilogical order, it quickly became overwhelming. I set it aside and as it goes with most of brilliant ideas, that’s where that project remains.

But while having eager newlyweds waiting to see the outcome, I had motivation to get busy. Plus the weather sucked and I was trapped inside, so. . . game ON. Only I found out that I’m not nearly as creative as either I thought I was or that I wished I was. The resulting scrapbook was pretty boring in comparison to other scrapbooks I’ve seen in my day. So I’m really tickled that they lean toward simple.

I bought a couple of movies over the weekend. I bought Wolverine, not because I like those kind of movies (not really a big fan), but because my Celebrity Crush, Hugh Jackman, is in it. I’ve never been one to swoon over movie stars. I figure they put their pants on one leg at a time just like I do, so what’s the big deal?

But Hugh Jackman. . . gorgeous!

I also bought Ghosts of Girlfriend’s Past with Matthew McConaughey. Matthew is not necessarily a Celebrity Crush. . .

but he sure is easy on the eyes. And he’s always so charming in a “surfer dude” kind of way. And funny. I really like funny. This was the movie that I watched. It was pretty cute if you’re looking for something light to watch.

While I was watching the movie last night (because I can’t sit still more than ten minutes at a time), I made a batch of “The Ultimate Turtle Brownies”. I haven’t tried them yet, as I don’t imagine they go well with the glass of wine that I was drinking while enjoying Matthew McConaughey my movie. I’ll try them in a bit. If they’re as delicious as they appear in my cookbook, I will share the recipe tomorrow.
