That’s right! Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful Summer day. I realize that it’s October, but it’s also the reason I jumped all over the opportunity to go to the beach. It typically stays pretty warm through the end of October, but not usually warm enough to lay out at the beach.

But this was a perfect day! Not too hot. Not too cold.

Sun shining brightly.

Just enough breeze to keep a kite in the sky.

It was a fantastic day to go out on a boat. There were several.

It wasn’t a great day for surfing though. The waves were “flat”. **that’s surfer lingo**

It WAS a good day for fishing, it turns out. I watched these folks catch several flounder.

I really enjoyed spending my whole my day there. I read a couple of cooking magazines, did a puzzle, wrote down some Christmas ideas, but mostly, I just watched the people. There’s always quite the variety; all sizes, shapes, ethnicities, and of course, you always have a few folks that don’t have mirrors in their house. I envy their confidence.

It will probably be my last trip this year. Well, to lay out in the sun anyway. If I get another day like this though, I’m taking it and running with it again. I LOVE THE BEACH!!
