My last Manager/Big Boss/Dude-In-Charge shared this with me and when cleaning/moving my home office downstairs to its new location, I found it in a folder.  From time to time, I will share one of these little nuggets of wisdom from this folder . . . . in between my recipe segments . . . usually after a particularly relatable type day.

Since our new company restructure, things have been taking on a new shape and form.  I’m not complaining in the least. . . I LOVE MY JOB!  I am HAPPY to HAVE a job, especially this one, as I really really like it and am GOOD AT IT.  But even the BEST jobs have their “moments”.  And with this public forum, I just felt like I should sort of explain my hapazard blogging pattern of late (directly pointing the finger at the lack of cooking posts).  It falls directly under what I will lovingly refer to as my version of Management 101.

Today was especially. . . . special.  Thus my first series:

EVERY DAY I AIM HIGHER,
but I still haven’t hit the manager.

A new element has just been discovered.  Christened Administratium, it is the heaviest element known to science and has remained unknown for so long as it is completely inert and can only be detected by the impeding effect it has on other elements and reactions with which it comes into contact.  A reaction that may, under normal circumstances, take only a few minutes is retarded on contact with Administratiums so that it takes DAYS, months or is never completed.

This is due to Administratium’s unique structure:  it has no protons or electrons, consisting of only one central neutron around which any number of vice neutrons and/or assistant neutons may gravitate.  These in turn are surrounded by morons that will collide with a final outer layer or peons.

Administratium’s inner core is a vortex of activity with assistant and vice neurons constantly flying off to join other elements leaving morons to be promoted to fill the gaps they leave in orbit around the neutron.  Scientists speculate that Adminstratium reaches meltdown when the newly promoted morons reach a certain concentration.

Yes, I’ve had a rough week.  But am eternally grateful for my job.  I just hope that if my managers/bosses/owners read this. . . they have a terrific sense of humor.

A whole new subject:  My oldest baby, out of the clear blue sky, bought me a new CD . . . . just because.  No holiday.  No birthday.  Just because he knew I’d LOVE it!  And I do.  (Isn’t he a doll baby?) I’m sitting in my new office (with my new loveseat that came today) listening to it as I vent blog.  NICKELBACK’s Dark Horse is awesome!

My favorite: “If Today Was Your Last Day”!!!!!!

What do YOU listen to after “one of those days”?
