This is too funny.  I found this by accident (FlameKA), and when I did, it reminded me of my own Kitchen Aid mixer given to me by my ex husband for Christmas back in 1989.   My ex was your standard jewelry gift giver for every holiday and birthday, which is not a bad thing . . . if you’re into jewelry.  You could always count on him for earrings or necklaces, gemstones of all kinds.  But me - I was that weirdo wife that actually WANTED appliances for Christmas. . . even back in the day BEFORE menopause turned me into the freak show I am today. 

I clearly remember his hesitation in buying me an appliance for a present.  He was nervous.  He was scared.  I’m sure there was trepidation wondering if it was some kind of trick or something. Like I was testing him.  But NO.  I seriously wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer.  I promised him that it wasn’t a test.  And I promised him lots of delectable goodies.  (cakes and cookies fools.  don’t get excited.  we’re divorced - remember)

Now, when I saw THIS Kitchen Aid mixer, it made me think of him and I couldn’t help but think he would have liked the idea of buying a small appliance a bit better if this was an option.  (He was a fighter pilot in the Navy at the time) 

If they had had this back then. . . .
