One of my RahRah girlfriends from Seattle, Demery, posted this on Facebook yesterday. . . and I LOVE IT! It hits so close to my heart. I have preached a Good Attitude to my children since they were very little. They know that nothing NOTHING sets me off more than a BAD attitude. Nudging right before Rude People, a Bad Attitude is my biggest pet peeve.
——————————————-
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company … a church … a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude …
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you … we are in charge of our Attitudes.

So how is YOUR attitude? Are you a glass half empty person, or a glass half full person?

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI wish I could say I’m always a glass half full person, but I am both. Depending on what week of the month it is and what my hormones are like! Ha!
I always believe that things will work out even as the walls cave in around me. Does that truly mean I have a positive attitude or does it mean that I just plain stupid? My dad raised me with the statement “you might not be able to change the end result but there will be an end result. So move on and don’t stress about things you can not change”. He was a very wise man.
I’m a “Great, now I have to wash another damn glass” type.
Love you!!!
I pray every single night for the strength to maintain a positive attitude, even as I feel the hounds of hell nipping at my heels. I get down, sure I do. I want to give up, yep. But damn it, I KEEP GOING and I KEEP SMILING.
But the world is still ending and we’re all gonna die. I’m just sayin.
I’m sad to say I can get a little down about things from time to time. That’s why I have married my exact opposite and he reminds me that things aren’t really as bad as I sometimes think they are. And, sometimes he’s right…………. sometimes. Ha!
