I’ve spent the past couple of nights reading about Wordpress plugins and widgets and CSS style sheets – trying to figure out what I can do to jazz this site up a bit. Sadly, the geeky part of me thinks that’s a fun activity. It’s not more fun than the beach or going to the pool, but it IS something that I can do WHILE at the beach or at the pool. You should see my beach bag – the variety of reading material I have ranges quite dramatically. (I think I suffer from A.D.D. because my attention span bounces around so much that I never know what I’ll be in the mood to read from one minute to the next.) So I go prepared.
I always carry a notebook to jot down brilliant thoughts or ideas that come to me while chillin’, a Sudoku puzzle book, a technical manual of some sort (usually something about SQL Server, but lately books on wordpress and building websites), a cookbook (cuz I’m a freak like that and can’t seem to leave home without one), and a novel (right now, it’s Sandra Brown’s Ricochet). You see – I’m all over the place. But I AM ready for whatever whim strikes me.
Ooops – how did THAT get in there? Sneaky Miller Lite. No, it’s not a book. But yes, Miller Lite most always accompanies the books too. (He doesn’t like being left out)
So what are you reading? Any recommendations? Because I’ll be finishing Ricochet this afternoon and I need another novel so my beach bag stays balanced.

Hiya Donna. I just read Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Piccoult but won’t recommend it to you because it took me a month and a half, plus it’s about a school shooting and all I could do was feel sorry for the shooter who was this kid bullied to the point of breaking and I sooooooo worry about these kids. Then in the end, after his trial and everything, he kills himself by shoving a sock down his throat. HORRIBLE!!! I HATED IT!!!!! I HATE books that make me love the underdog (yes, even a murderer…) and then surprise us by KILLING THEM!! HATE. IT.
So don’t read that one.
Right now, however, I’m reading Enemy Women about the Civil War and am loving it very much. I love historical novels, especially ones involving the Civil War. Love that. So I recommend it to you.
Love you Donna!!
SUDOKU!!!

Wanna come meet me in Mexico in Novemeber? *grin*
Michelob Amber Ultralight or AmberBock!! That or Sam Adams Light. Oh . . . and always room for a Heineken (everybody should make room for some Hiney. Oh, the margaritas, baby!! And Wine. Oh . . . and I just LOVE the occassional Long Island Iced Tea (especially in Biloxi, cause they go down so easy and work so fast).

Oh . . . books . . . I like David Baldacci. He’s got a series that starts with The Camel Club. Pretty good little conspiracy-theory-meets-intrigue-and-espionage sorta thing.
