I hope everyone had a long, joyous Christmas holiday weekend. After running willy nilly, suffering complete computer failure, one mini meltdown and tons of cooking preparation for the last month. . . Christmas turned out splendidly at my house.
Since I’m not nearly as organized in my old age as I was when I was [...]

I took this from my friend, DeWitte. He is so funny. You should read his answers to this survey. I especially love the picture at the bottom. I stole it from his site as well. Hope you don’t mind DeWitte. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?

Christmas 1987, when we lived in San Diego in a little community north of Miramar Naval Air Station, we had this fabulous neighbor family with a teenage boy and a tweenage girl who adored my boys (they were like live dolls to them, I think). I adored these kids as well. That year, [...]

Wow! Talk about Christmas Past. . . this is my brother, my sister and myself in 1966. I was five days away from my sixth birthday.
The thing is. . . I remember that tree. I distinctly remember feeling sorry for it and wanting to make it pretty. I thought [...]

As odd as one might think, I have a fantastic relationship with my ex-husband’s family, even though we’ve been divorced almost 18 years. I’ve lived in this house for more than 12 years now. When we moved here, the boys were still children; fourth and sixth grades. I still remember the first week we were here when I had the peephole installed in the front door, they were complaining about it being so high. I, being [...]

I don’t do this often, but TODAY especially, it’s in America’s spirit that I copy something from a fellow blogger. Ralph on MSN Spaces where my blog used to reside and where I still remain in touch, posted this below. It will tear at your heartstrings. I’m totally blubbering after reading it. [...]

Halloween sure is a whole lot different now that my kids are grown. I used to decorate the house, make homemade costumes, throw Halloween parties with the appropriately goulish foods, do Halloween crafts and activities with all the kids in the neighborhood. All that jazz. This is how times have changed since [...]

And I’m not talking food when I say Grease.
I have a confession to make. Now don’t be too alarmed. . . it’s not that bad. But it will demonstrate my weirdo side. I confess that I really like Daytime TV. I actually like Daytime TV more than Primetime TV, except when [...]
