My kids asked me once if TVs were even invented when I was a kid. It reminded me of this that I saved awhile back, because truly being a kid in the “Old Days” isn’t remotely like it is today. Read this:
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE 1930’s, 40’s, 50’s, […]

I’ve lived in this house for more than 12 years now. When we moved here, the boys were still children; fourth and sixth grades. I still remember the first week we were here when I had the peephole installed in the front door, they were complaining about it being so high. I, being […]

I don’t do this often, but TODAY especially, it’s in America’s spirit that I copy something from a fellow blogger. Ralph on MSN Spaces where my blog used to reside and where I still remain in touch, posted this below. It will tear at your heartstrings. I’m totally blubbering after reading it. […]

Halloween sure is a whole lot different now that my kids are grown. I used to decorate the house, make homemade costumes, throw Halloween parties with the appropriately goulish foods, do Halloween crafts and activities with all the kids in the neighborhood. And I’m not talking food when I say Grease.
I have a confession to make. Now don’t be too alarmed. . . it’s not that bad. But it will demonstrate my weirdo side. I confess that I really like Daytime TV. I actually like Daytime TV more than Primetime TV, except when […]

[…]

It appears to be that time of year. Yesterday, specifically for this area anyway. While dreadful for some, others were filled with excitement and eagerness. Summer is over and it’s “Back to School”. While I didn’t have the pleasure of mingling with the hordes of people in Walmart, deliberating over the perfect backpack, racing to […]

I was going to post something completely different today, but I’m still on this Perception kick. I can’t help it. I saw something today that just blew my little mind in a time-warp kind of way. It’s aging that’s doing it to me. Not that I’m going senile or anything. It’s just that lately, I feel like I’ve been […]

Recently, I’ve been asking myself several self-imposed questions (yeah, years of therapy teach you this particular behavior, thanks). Why has my self perception been so warped for so long? What makes a thin person look in the mirror and see a fat person? Why do perfectly beautiful people look in the mirror and only see […]
