Monday, September 1, 2008, Labor Day was an absolutely beautiful day! I made a fabulous lunch for the boys and my mom, cleaned up the kitchen and hit the pool. It was a great day for the pool, not a cloud in sight.
I don’t know these people, but they came and grilled out and were having a blast. They were so very nice. The three guys are in the military, but I’m not sure which branch. And the girls were all just beautiful. I took this picture of them just because, to me, they were an ideal picture of what a FUN holiday at the pool is all about. Plus, you don’t see a six person pyramid everyday. Aren’t they all just beautiful? I got their email address and I’m sending it to them. I think they’ll be impressed with themselves.

Then as the sun went down over top of the condo aside the pool, I held a Moment of Silence while saying Good-bye to the pool for the summer. So sad to see you go.

Good-bye Sun. You were awesome this year. We had such a good time together.

Good-bye Pool. Even though you got a little chilly towards the end of the summer, you were there when I needed you most.

Good-bye chair. Lots of books read, many cold beers consumed, and lots of relaxin’. I’ll miss you most of all. Good times.

Just because the pool is closed doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Remember Nancy, you and I have to go get margaritas very soon!!!!
Love ya,
Nelda & Nancy
Awww. I can’t believe that it’s already the end of pool season there. Of course, I forget that the rest of the country actually has more than two seasons. Down here, it’s HOT or OTHER. Other includes chilly, blustery, windy, gusty, and cold with an occasional dip into freezing. I remember going to the beach in November, cause it was in the 90’s. Of course, the water wasn’t very warm, but when it’s November and in the 90’s, a little chilly wave wading can be a pleasant thing. Wonder what this “fall” will bring us down here?
The guy in the middle (between the top girl’s legs) looks so bemused. If I had a nickel for every time a man has looked bemused between my legs…
Oh. Sorry.
hehe, i think you should steal a pool key and on the days that are moderatly worm head out and just laze on the chairs with a cooler and a book!! you know its a good plan!
We had the hottest day so far yesterday. 92..
summer is still in full swing here and NO ONE
is saying goodbye!! I am sure you will have some more wonderful sunny days out there. :8
