My sister sent this to me in an email and I thought it was funny as Hell!
Due to the climate of political correctness now pervading America , Kentuckians, Tennesseans and West Virginians will no longer be referred to as ‘HILLBILLIES.’ You might as well throw in Mississippians, Alabamians and Georgians too.
HOW TO SPEAK [...]

Do you ever have one of those blah kinda days where it’s all dreary and drizzly outside and you don’t really feel bad, but then you don’t really feel good either, then something happens. . . someone smiles at you, someone sends you flowers, someone sends you an email telling you that “You’re a Winner”. I’ve been getting a soaring number of hits on this site looking for this video. I had no idea that Harpo, Inc had taken it off of YouTube. However, I found it somewhere else, so I’ve updated the clip. The link is at the bottom of this post. If you haven’t [...]

A dear friend of mine from South Africa, Julz aka. Misfit, emailed this to me awhile back. It is from James S. Huggins’ Refrigerator Door (original link here). And it is just too too funny. If you own a cat, and even if you don’t, you have to read this.

This past holiday weekend, I wanted to make a big dinner for my boys and my mom. BUT I was torn between taking the opportunity of an extra day off from work to spend with my family, OR to take advantage of the last pool day of the season. Anybody that reads this site with any regularity knows what a [...]

On the whole Back To School tradition roll, I have to share a recipe that I made every First Day of School as a snack for the boys to look forward to. Even though they’re not in school anymore, I still made them. They’re awesome! And they are EASY! And my oldest still came by the [...]

It appears to be that time of year. Yesterday, specifically for this area anyway. While dreadful for some, others were filled with excitement and eagerness. Summer is over and it’s “Back to School”. While I didn’t have the pleasure of mingling with the hordes of people in Walmart, deliberating over the perfect backpack, racing to [...]

Monday, September 1, 2008, Labor Day was an absolutely beautiful day! I made a fabulous lunch for the boys and my mom, cleaned up the kitchen and hit the pool. It was a great day for the pool, not a cloud in sight.
I don’t know these people, but they came and grilled out and were having a blast. [...]
